International aesthetic meets African conscience in our collaboration with illustrator Caroline Tomlinson. Soon to be revealed.
Creating a bespoke African print has long been a creative dream of The Joinery and we found the perfect collaborator in this renowned illustrator.
The result is a fun, contemporary, African-inspired print that encapsulates the ethos of The Joinery, with a range of blooms and animal prints in a variety of pastel hues for our latest collection.
Caroline has worked with some amazing brands and creatives. The most recent include Rimmel, Benefit, Marie Claire, Condé Nast, Marc Jacobs and Marks and Spencer’s. Her personal favourite however, was creating an advert with Rankin and Charlotte Free.
A previous Student at Central Saint Martins London, her creative process for the collaboration with the Joinery was inspiration of all things natural. She took photos, made endless sketches and generally made a lot of mess of her London studio.
The Joinery girls were in London over the Summer so it was possible to go through work at various stages and stay in touch with what felt successful and what needed further exploration.
Caroline says on her collaboration with The Joinery, she had freedom to explore her work in a whole new format
‘I am a firm believer in creative collaborations – they always lead to something new and exciting.
